HerdData  helps you collect all of the information on your herd in a portable form that you can take right to the pasture with you.  Your calving book, breeding records, and health data are all in a compact form that you can easily carry in your pocket or in your pickup.  With a couple easy taps, you can view a list of sick calves, possible replacement heifers, or aged cows who might need culled.

HerdData allows the user can enter as much or as little information as they want to enter in the program.***  We have included most of the commonly used fields of information that a producer may need.  We have also included several Notes fields to collect any additional information that you may want.

The Filter function allows the user to compare animals in the herd based on a wide range of criteria.  Animals can also be sorted/displayed in a variety of ways, such as oldest to youngest cow, heaviest to lightest calf at weaning, etc.  Mini reports show the user useful information such as the length of the calving period in days, spread on the weaning weights of the calves, and the average weaning weight of a group of calves.  These are just some examples of HerdData's capabilities.

At the end of the day, the handheld is taken back to your office and transferred to your desktop computer with the touch of a button.  Data can be collected on the animals in the herd throughout their lives.  When the animal is sold, the information can be stored in the desktop computer and cleared from the handheld freeing up space to collect information on next year's calf crop.  The desktop program can also be used to create printouts, filters/sorts, reports, and export information to Microsoft Excel, as well as several other formats.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
***The only field that is required is an UNIQUE Visual  ID for each animal.  (For those users who tag the cow and calf with the same number, we recommend adding a year letter to the calf's id to make it unique.  More details in the help documentation that comes with HerdData.)
